Open Air Service

Our second Open Air Service of the summer was held on Sunday 24 August in the sunken gardens at the top of the West Cliff. The weather was good and about 100 people gathered around the gardens with many more nearby drinking coffee at the cafe and passers by stopping to listen. Peter Robinson preached, the congregation sang, there was also singing from Paul Wheater and testimonies from Lynne Noble and John Woollin. People were invited back to the church after the service for coffee and biscuits and a number of folk returned with us. Both services this year which were tried for the first time were encouraging and it seems likely that we will repeat this in future years. Below are some photos of the event.

We were also pleased to see visitors from foreign parts (Doncaster) coming along!!
