Gospel Music Convention and Bible Week
The fourteenth Whiutby Gospel Music Convention recently took place from17-19 May in the Spa Pavillion. This was closely followed by the Bible Week from 20-23 May. There seemed to be a general agreement that the whole event had been a tremendous success from the convention itself to the Sunday morning service led by Roger Carswell at the church, to the Coffee morning on the Monday following and, finally, to the Bible Week evening meetings led by Dr Sam Gordon.
The convention itself was well-attended with over two hundred people attending all the concerts. Similarly, the Coffee morning at Chursh found the back lounge and kitchen area absolutely packed out with people. The evening Bible presentations dealt with biblical prophesies in a very balanced way with Sam Gordon dealing with several relevant passages in the new testament and handling some difficult questions with wisdom and grace.
The photos below show some aspects of these events.
