Easter Singing in front of Church
Easter Saturday saw a hardy band of singers gather on the doorstep of the church to sing Christian hymns telling the Easter story. Between each song a word of testimony was given. It was an encouraging time and many people passed by during the time the group were singing and many stopped to listen. Afterwards we heard that people in local shops and houses heard the singing and came to their doors to hear the Gospel being proclaimed in word and song. Those who were not singing gave out an Easter leaflet to those passing by. As always, it is good to remind people that our church is there and open for services and that we continue to witness in Whitby. Here is a picture of some of the singers who took part and we are thankful to them for their willingness to help. All those who take part say the same thing; it is a real blessing to us too!
